| Description |
Every FN SPR Long-Range Precision Rifle is built on the Pre-'64 Winchester-design action, with a massive claw extrator that engages nearly a full quarter of the cartridge rim. This Controlled Round Feed (CRF) feature means that as each cartridge leaves the magazine it is fully controlled by the bolt as it enters the chamber, protecting fragile match bullet tips and assuring smooth feeding. The time-proven three-position safety blocks the firing pin while still allowing the action to be cycled for safe and easy loading and unloading. All FN SPRs utilize hammer forged, match grade barrels that meet or exceed US Mil Spec in all criteria. Bores are chrome-plated for stellar accuracy and long life, and every rifle must meet 1 MOA or better standard of accuracy. Receivers are drilled and tapped for oversize 8/40 mounting screws. A one-piece steel M1913 rail with additional 20 MOA of elevation built-in is installed. A McMillan fiberglass tactical rifle stock is standard equipment.
